The essential daily practice of Lama-, Yidam- and Khandro of the Ma Gyud is suitable for newcomers to the Ma Gyud (or to tantra, or to Bön) - it serves as Ngondro (preparatory practice) for beginning mother tantra practitoners. Experienced practitioners will be familiar with the Lama-, Yidam- and Khandro practice (gong-choe-nam-sum), but will still enjoy the explanations of Lama Sangye Mönlam, who has practiced Ma Gyud intensively for decades and has penetrated to a deep level of understanding through experience.
Also, Lama Sangye will rehearse the melody to which the text is recited and practice the authentic Tibetan way of reciting it with damaru and shang and with us, and also teach us the mudras that acompany the practices for Lama, Yidam and Khandro. Everybody will come away familiar with the practice and confident for practicing it at home.
The text of the short and intermediate practice will be made available in Tibetan, in phonetics for reciting, and in English (also French, on request) translation. Lama Sangye teaches in Tibetan and will be interpreted into German or English or both, depending on the participants' preferences.
This is the ideal preparation for those who want to attend Lama Sangye's Dream Yoga from the Ma Gyud teachings in Yeshe Sal Ling in March 2016, but who have not practiced Ma Gyud before. By attending this weekend course you acquire the prerequisites for the dream yoga course in Yeshe Sal Ling in 2016, but it is also of interest as a stand-alone introduction to mother tantra.
