Ma Gyud (mother tantra) is the source of most of the Tsa Lung practices (such as tummo) in the Bon tradition, and in particular of those tantric practices that are useful to Dzogchen practicioners. It is a very central, important text in the Bon canon. In 2010, Geshe Gelek and Lama Sangye will cover two chapters. Firstly, "sgom 'brel nyi ma'i dkyil 'khor". This is the chapter of which Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche says: it is the door through which everybody has to come who wants to do any practice from the Ma Gyud. Secondly, "thar lam", the way of liberation. This chapter contains the introductory, ngondro, practices of Ma Gyud. If all goes well, this will be the beginning of a series of teachings on the Ma Gyud in Graz, to be continued next year with Ma Gyud Phowa.
